High Ticket Affiliate Marketing – The Key to Earnings

How do you make good money with Affiliate Marketing? Is there A SECRET to bringing in $10,000 per month?

The truth is, affiliate marketing is a great way to make money online and the amount which can be earned varies depending on the types of offers that you are promoting.

I originally started affiliate marketing in order to make extra money from the comfort of my home. And like most people, I struggled at first and didn't really make much money in my first few years.

It wasn't until I came to the realization that I needed to start promoting higher ticket products in order to earn a full time income. Keep in mind, that low ticket offers should still be part of your offerings, but if you really want to tap into the wealth and income potential of affiliate marketing, you will see much better results with high ticket offers.

I honestly believe that the key to my success has been due to the fact that I began incorporating higher ticket products into my affiliate marketing business. Once I started doing that, I was able to reach my income goals MUCH FASTER!

So let's take a look at the differences between Low Ticket Products and High Ticket Products and how you should use them to build your business.

Low Ticket Products – Typically Under $50

While High Ticket products are the key to earning massive income online, I still believe that you should be promoting low ticket products as well.

There are several reasons for this, including the fact that a low ticket item can “get you in the door” or establish a customer easier than a higher ticket can.

Here's what I mean by this… if you offer a low ticket product (usually under $50), people are more willing to pull out their wallets and purchase because of the low entry point. But once they have purchased, you then have the ability to upsell them with a higher priced offering.

When if comes to Low Ticket products, here are the offers you should be promoting:

  • Tripwire offers
    • These are usually in the range of $7-$50
    • The low price gets the customer to pull out their wallet, thus making them more likely to purchase something in the future.
    • Once the customer sees the value that comes with the low ticket product, you can upsell them to a high ticket product
  • Subscription based products
    • This creates a recurring revenue stream
    • Promote something that offers information or training
    • The best products in this group are Software products (a tool that they will need, like an autoresponder or sales funnel software)

Two of the low ticket products that I promote regularly are Get Response (an email autoresponder) and Wealthy Affiliate (an affiliate marketing training program). Both of these happen to be sources of recurring monthly income.

High Ticket Products – $1000 and up

Believe it or not, there are people who are willing to pay thousands of dollars for training programs and if you can connect those people with your affiliate products, you can make a substantial income.

The commissions on High Ticket products are obviously much higher than lower ticket products. It's not that complicated. But most people don't think that they can sell a high ticket item.

But I promise you, there are endless opportunities and customers just waiting for the right product to cross their path. And earning a full time income with Affiliate Marketing is achievable if you have a few of these types of products in your arsenal.

The e-learning platform is rapidly gaining momentum as more people are staying at home and looking to learn via the internet instead of traditional classroom settings.

Ways to incorporate high ticket products:

  • Courses or Webinars ($1000) – either create one yourself or use an existing one and get commissions
  • Offer a low ticket product and capture an email… add value through your autoresponder… and then upsell to high ticket ($1000)

$1000 is honestly the low end of the high ticket offerings available out there. I've seen some mastermind courses offered for over $20,000.

Next, let's break down the logistics of how a high ticket product can make you MORE MONEY FASTER!

How to Earn $10,000 per Month

So how exactly do you get to $10,000 per month in earnings? Well, it's simple math really!

If you have a low ticket product that will earn you $5 with each sale, then you would need to sell 2000 products.

But if you have a high ticket product that earns you $1000 per sale, then you would ONLY need to sell 10 products.

Which sounds easier?? Selling 2000 products a month or 10?

It gets even better if you have a $2000 commission product…. because then you are only having to make 5 sales. That sounds completely doable. AND IT IS, by the way!

  1. Hi. I have truly been enlightened by this High Ticket Affiliate marketing guide.

I’m an online marketer who started this journey a few months ago. But I still didn’t really know the difference between High and Low ticket products. So, it’s a pleasure to have come across this article.

Anyway, based on what I read from your article, if you want to promote low ticket products, you’ll need to sell lots of products to make consistent incomes. But I think this is what beginners should start with. However, High ticket products should be taken into consideration only if you are an experienced marketer and someone who has already achieved success online…

    Cheers

    • Exactly… there is a time and place for high ticket products, but sadly most people never bother to incorporate them at all and as a result, they are missing out on massive income. Not to mention the fact that once you have the basics down, you can really use the same strategies to promote the higher ticket products and see results much faster.

  2. Wow! I didn’t know there were affiliate programs that paid so highly! I will definitely look into high ticket programs in my niche! I hope I can find some…

I guess there’s always someone who is willing to pay thousands of dollars for a course, and the fact that it takes fewer people to sell to is a bonus.

I think I need to get some of those low ticket sales first though! I’ll get there someday!

    • It is eye-opening when you realize the income potential.  But like you mentioned, it is still a good idea to have a mix of both low and high ticket products.

  3. Hi, I am very happy to know about High Ticket Affiliate Marketing.

I have noted that the amount which can be earned varies depending on the types of offers that you are promoting, like you said.

This is a very great and interesting post. I’m a member of Wealthy Affiliate, I did not know about High Ticket Affiliate Marketing before. Is it a guaranteed money-making platform? And how long can it take me before I start earning?

    Thanks for sharing.

    • Well nothing is “quaranteed” in ANY business, because you have to put in the necessary work.  But it is a legitimate way to make money and many people have made this their career after getting the proper training and learning from the best how to execute what they learn.

  4. Hello there! This is an interesting post! I have been working with affiliate marketing for a couple months now but still have yet to see any income. You already caught my attention with there being a secret to bringing in $10k a month. Currently, I am still promoting low ticket items but I might have to try promoting some of the higher ticket ones. I really like your diagram about selling 2000 items for $5 versus 10 items for $1000. Currently, I haven’t been making much sales but making a sale with high ticket item sounds nice. I haven’t looked into promoting courses or webinars either. I’ll probably be looking more into that in the near future. Thanks for this.

    • Yes, I always suggest to people that are in affiliate marketing to make sure they have a good portfolio of both high ticket products and low ticket products.  Don’t do just one or the other.

  5. I think when it comes to choosing what ticket to go with, you have to use a bit of balance. Of course it would be great to promote products that net you a grand per sale and getb ten a day. But being able to accomplish that may be a bit harder to say the least. Getting sales with Low ticket commissions may be a lot easier, but then you’re needing to sell a hundred a day to make a living. I prefer recurring commissions.

  6. Hey Elizabeth, I loved reading through this article! I definitely agree that it’s important to start with low ticket products because excessively promoting high ticket offers in your first month of blogging is impractical because search engines and internet browsers haven’t taken the time to build trust with you. I think affiliate marketing has great potential to make a full time income. You did give me an idea about starting my own course. Thinking of starting a course on how to grow and monetize a fitness blog once I have success with my current online business.  I’m still working towards my first sale in the meantime but I’m sure my time will come eventually.

    • Creating your own course is an excellent way to go as well. Anytime you can add value and help others, you are bound for success.

  7. Hello Elizabeth,

this has been an interesting read. I have been wondering for some time how these guys that make a living online do it because I was excited when I made my first sale online, and then several more have followed, but my commission has always been below 5 bucks. So, the answer is here, we need to promote high-ticket products.
